Microsoft Calendar
Alpheous reads your calendar so the agents know who you are meeting today, when, and with whom. That visibility is what lets the Meeting Assistant brief you before a call and lets the Prospector do meeting-prep research on the right advisors at the right time.
Microsoft Calendar is the connection to use if your firm runs Microsoft 365. It does the same work the Google Calendar connection does for firms on Google Workspace; you connect one or the other, not both. It shares an app registration with the Outlook connection, so your administrator sets one up rather than two.
What the Agents Do with Microsoft Calendar
Today's Meetings at a Glance
The Meeting Assistant reads your calendar each morning and surfaces the meetings that matter for the day in Slack: who you are meeting, what firm they belong to, and what is already known about the relationship from your CRM. You see the day before it starts running you.
Pre-Meeting Briefings
Ahead of each scheduled call, the Meeting Assistant builds a brief: who is attending, the firm context, recent activity from HubSpot, and any open items from past conversations. The brief posts in Slack in the prep window before the meeting so you have it in hand when you join.
Meeting-Prep Prospecting
When the Prospector sees a new external attendee on your calendar, it can pull together a quick advisor and firm profile before the meeting: role, firm, recent moves, and any public-record signals worth knowing about. The profile posts as a Slack card alongside the Meeting Assistant's brief.
Scheduling Context for Outbound
When Signal Outreach drafts a follow-up that suggests next steps, it factors in the windows you actually have open. Suggestions for "next week" come from calendar availability, not guesswork.
Which Agents Use This Connection
| Agent | How It Uses Microsoft Calendar |
|---|---|
| Meeting Assistant | Reads today's meetings; builds pre-meeting briefs; drives the post-meeting handoff |
| Prospector | Runs meeting-prep profiles on external attendees |
| Signal Outreach | Reads availability to suggest realistic next steps in drafts |
| Account Assistant | Reads recent and upcoming meetings for account health and relationship context |
Recurring Meetings
Your standing weekly and monthly meetings appear as the individual occurrences they are, on the days they actually fall, rather than as a single repeating entry. A brief for next Tuesday's recurring call covers next Tuesday's attendees.
What Your IT Team Sets Up
Nothing beyond the Outlook setup. The same app registration covers mail and calendar; the calendar permission is one of the three on the list we send for your review. If you are connecting calendar without mail, the registration is the same and the permission list is shorter.
How to Tell It Is Connected
When Microsoft Calendar is connected, the Meeting Assistant posts a morning view of the day's meetings in Slack and a pre-meeting brief lands ahead of each scheduled call. If a meeting on your calendar is missing from the morning view, or pre-meeting briefs stop arriving, contact support@alpheous.com.
The calendar connection is read-only. Alpheous never creates, edits, or declines events on your calendar; suggested times in drafts wait for your approval before they go to the other side.
