CloudTalk
CloudTalk is the phone system behind Voice Outreach, the agent that places outbound calls on your behalf. Connect it and Voice Outreach can call an advisor or a prospect to book a meeting or warm-transfer the conversation to one of your people. Nothing about connecting CloudTalk turns calling on by itself: voice dialing stays off at the platform level until your firm explicitly turns it on.
What Voice Outreach Does with CloudTalk
Placing the Call
A call gets queued from a signal, a click on a contact's card, or, if your firm has turned on an automatic trigger, a rule such as a speed-to-lead follow-up. Voice Outreach builds a brief for the call, and CloudTalk places it: dialing the contact to book a meeting or to warm-transfer to a live person on your team.
Screening Before It Dials
Before CloudTalk ever dials, the brief passes an automatic compliance and governance review, plus a set of structural checks: the contact's Do Not Call status, their local calling window, their consent status, and the required AI-call disclosure. Any one of those failing blocks the call outright. By default, a queued call also holds for your brief review before it goes out; your firm can adjust that step during setup.
Call Outcomes
Once a call ends, CloudTalk hands back the recording and transcript. Voice Outreach turns that into a structured outcome (booked, transferred, no answer, declined, and so on) and mirrors it to the contact's record in HubSpot, so the next person who opens the account sees what happened.
Which Agent Uses This Connection
| Agent | How It Uses CloudTalk |
|---|---|
| Voice Outreach | Places outbound calls; pulls the outcome, recording, and transcript back after each one |
How to Tell It Is Connected
When CloudTalk is connected and voice calling is turned on for your firm, Voice Outreach posts a card in its Slack channel for each call outcome and escalation. If a call you expected never appears, or a queued call is not dialing, contact support@alpheous.com.
CloudTalk is optional. Connect it only if you want the agents that place outbound calls; every other agent works the same without it.
