Buyer Personas

Buyer Personas describe the advisors, allocators, and wholesalers your agents write for. The more specific a persona is, the more an agent's outreach and fund content sounds like it was written for that particular buyer instead of a generic advisor.

A glance band shows your Total Personas and how many are Active, and you can search by name, archetype, or short identifier.

Building a Persona

Each persona has:

  • Identifier: a short, stable, lowercase identifier used inside agent prompts. It can't be changed once the persona is created, so choose it carefully up front.
  • Name: the display name shown in agent output and reporting.
  • Archetype: a one-phrase decision-making pattern, for example "The Challenger."
  • Headline: a single sentence on why this persona buys.
  • Snapshot: a short paragraph on who they are and what success looks like to them.
  • Key distinguisher: what sets this persona apart from the ones next to it.
  • Category: an optional grouping used in routing and reporting.
  • Notes: internal only; never surfaced to agents or to clients.
  • Active: an inactive persona is excluded from personalization and hidden from search by default.

List fields such as common objections are entered one item per line, and they feed straight into agent prompts: what you write there is what an agent draws on when it personalizes outreach or handles an objection for that persona.

An inactive persona doesn't disappear, it just stops being used. Retire a persona you no longer sell to by turning it off rather than deleting it, so past work that referenced it still makes sense.

  • Products: the products these personas are matched against in outreach.
  • Firm Settings: your firm's own ideal customer profile, which sits above individual personas.
