Frequently Asked Questions
Does Signal Outreach Ever Send Emails on Its Own?
No. Signal Outreach writes drafts to your Gmail Drafts folder and stops there. You read each draft and click Send yourself. There is no auto-send, no scheduled send, and no shared outbox.
Why Did Two Wholesalers Get Different Drafts for the Same Signal?
Each click produces its own batch of drafts in the clicker's own Drafts folder. The angle assigned to each contact is rotated, so a re-click after another wholesaler's batch will produce drafts with different openers. This is intentional. It keeps recipients at the same firm from seeing five copies of the same email and lets two wholesalers covering overlapping territory each work from their own queue.
Why Are the Drafts All Worded Differently for the Same Firm?
Per-contact angle variation is built in. A single firm with five matched contacts gets five drafts that read like five different conversations starting from the same fact. The variation is for deliverability and for the recipient's experience: identical openers to the same firm look like a mail-merge blast.
Why Does the Email Not Name the Filing Type?
The body deliberately translates the filing event into business language: a position change, a new fund window, a new compliance cycle. Naming the regulatory artifact directly reads like compliance language and is not how a wholesaler would describe the event on a call. The underlying fact is still there.
What Does Compliance Review Mean for My Drafts?
Every draft is checked against your firm's compliance rules before it lands in Gmail. If a draft flags rule hits, it is rewritten up to three times to clear them. Drafts that clear cleanly arrive without comment; drafts that did not fully clear after three rewrites still arrive in your Drafts folder, with their compliance status recorded for your compliance team's review queue. The subject line is left clean either way.
Can I Add a Sign-Off or Disclaimer Before Sending?
The draft already ends with your signature and the firm's approved disclosure block. You do not need to add either. If you want to add a personal line, add it above the signature; do not move or edit the disclosure text below.
Can I Get a Redraft With a Different Angle?
Yes. Delete the draft from Gmail Drafts and click "Draft Outreach Emails" on the signal post again. New drafts are produced with fresh angle assignments.
Why Did the Draft Not Propose a Meeting Time?
Signal Outreach does not propose specific dates or times for meetings. It does not share your calendar and cannot know your availability. The close offers a short call or a low-friction next step; the recipient picks the time when they reply, or you do.
Common Issues
No Drafts Appeared in Gmail After I Clicked
- Open the thread on the signal post you clicked. Look for the confirmation reply that says drafts have been queued and lists the number of contacts. If you see that reply but no drafts after a few minutes, the batch may still be running for a firm with many contacts.
- If you see a reply that says drafts cannot be queued under your account, ask your administrator to enable the outbound-draft permission for you. Then click the button again.
- If there is no thread reply at all after a minute or two, click the button once more. The first click may have missed an acknowledgment.
- Check that your Gmail connection is active in the Alpheous settings. If it is not connected, drafts cannot be written. Reconnect Gmail and try again.
- If nothing appears after the above, contact support@alpheous.com.
A Draft Mentions a Number or Detail That Is Wrong
Tell your administrator which draft and which detail. Signal Outreach pulls facts from the filing, your CRM record for the firm and the contact, and your firm's prior communications. A wrong number usually means a stale CRM record or a mismatched contact. Refreshing the source removes the issue from future drafts.
The Draft Sounds Generic for a Contact I Know Well
Drafts get sharper when the contact's record has more substance. Notes from prior meetings, recorded transcripts, and dossier entries all feed the contact brief. Adding notes to the contact record means the next draft for that contact has more specific anchors to work with.
A Compliance Status Note Is on a Draft and I Am Not Sure What to Do
Read the draft carefully before sending. The recorded status tells your compliance team which rules the draft did not fully clear; your compliance lead can pull the rule hits from the review queue and tell you whether the draft is sendable, needs an edit, or should be discarded. If you are not sure, ask before sending.
A Recipient Replied That the Tone Felt Off
Tell your administrator. The drafter is tuned to match a wholesaler's voice; consistent off-tone replies usually mean either the firm or product context is out of date in the configuration. Updating those values brings future drafts back in line.
I Clicked the Button on the Wrong Signal
Delete the drafts from your Gmail Drafts folder. Nothing leaves Gmail until you click Send, so an accidental click costs you a few minutes of cleanup, not a misfired email.
