Signal Outreach posts back in the thread of the signal you clicked. It does not start new top-level posts and it does not direct-message you. There are three messages you may see and one place outside Slack you should keep an eye on: your Gmail Drafts folder.
Drafts Queued Confirmation
When: Right after you click "Draft Outreach Emails" on a signal post.
What it contains:
- Confirmation that the click was accepted
- The number of advisor contacts that will receive a draft
- A note that drafts will appear in your own Gmail Drafts folder as each one finishes writing
Action required: None at this stage. Open your Gmail Drafts folder when you are ready to review.
Batch Complete Summary
When: The drafting pipeline finishes the last contact in the batch.
What it contains:
- A short summary of how many drafts landed in your Drafts folder
- A note on any drafts that needed a compliance review pass (so you know to read those carefully)
- A note on any contacts that were skipped because the system could not gather enough context to write something specific
Action required: Open Gmail Drafts and review each draft. Edit any wording you want, then click Send when you are ready.
Permission Not Enabled Reply
When: You click the button but your account does not have outbound-draft permission turned on.
What it contains:
- A plain message that drafts cannot be queued under your account
- A pointer to the staff settings page where the permission is managed
Action required: Ask your administrator to enable the outbound-draft permission for your account. Then click the button again.
What Appears in Gmail
The drafts themselves do not arrive in Slack. They appear in your own Gmail Drafts folder, each one addressed to a single advisor, each with a subject line of four to nine words and a body of roughly 60 to 150 words.
Every draft already has your signature stamped at the end. Compliance disclosure text is appended after the signature, in the standard layout. You do not need to add a sign-off or a disclaimer; both are already there.
If a draft does not look right or you want to redirect the angle, delete it from Drafts and re-click the button on the signal post. The drafts are regenerated with fresh angle assignments.
