Data and Knowledge
Data Sources and Knowledge are the two screens that ground your agents in your firm's own material: where recurring data comes in, and what has actually been indexed from it.
Data Sources
Data Sources manages your recurring feeds: distributor, custodian, and data-provider files that arrive on a schedule, each with its own saved column mapping so a new file lands in the right fields automatically. A glance band shows your total Sources, how many are Enabled, and how many have Columns Mapped, and the list shows each Source, its Kind, its Cadence, and its Status.
Adding a source opens a short wizard: drop in a sample file, and the system detects its columns and suggests a mapping for you to confirm before saving. The first import runs immediately once you save. Opening an existing source shows its saved mapping alongside a full upload history: each period, its status, how many rows it carried, who uploaded it, and when it started and finished. If you upload a file for a period that already has data, you'll be asked to confirm before it replaces what's there, and the confirmation names the row count you're about to overwrite.
Knowledge
Knowledge is a read-only view of what has actually been indexed and how current it is. A glance band shows how much material is indexed in total, how many collections exist, how much was added in the window you select (30 days by default, up to a year back), and how many firm documents have been uploaded.
The collections table lists every named collection your agents draw on, with a live count and its oldest and newest entry. The collections include your knowledge base, HubSpot contacts, companies, and engagements, meeting transcripts, email messages, market intelligence, regulatory filings, advisor communications, and meeting prep briefs.
A sync status table shows whether each background sync last ran cleanly or hit an error, when it last ran, how long it took, and a summary count for that run. A firm documents table lists every uploaded document with its Purpose, Size, Uploaded date, and whether it has finished indexing or is still Pending.
When an answer from an agent looks stale or incomplete, this is the first place to check: confirm the relevant sync ran recently and finished without error, and confirm the document you expected is actually indexed rather than still Pending.
