Schedule

Knowledge Base is primarily on demand. You ask, it answers. In the background it also watches a small set of channels for questions that go unanswered and steps in when it is confident. It does not send scheduled digests or daily summaries.

On Demand (Any Time)

You can ask Knowledge Base a question at any point during the day. The agent reads your firm's documents at the moment you ask and posts a reply within a few seconds.

There is no queue, no waiting window, and no daily limit. Whether you are asking for a fact from the LPA, a count of advisor meetings this quarter, or the relevant section of the firm's compliance manual, the answer comes back as soon as it is ready.

Continuous Passive Watch

Knowledge Base monitors a small list of channels for questions posted by your team. If a question sits unanswered for a short window and the agent finds a confident, sourced answer in your firm's documents, it posts a brief threaded reply. If it is not confident, it stays silent.

The watch runs continuously throughout the day. You do not need to do anything to turn it on. Questions posted overnight are picked up; the agent answers when it has a confident match and otherwise leaves them for a human.

The channels under passive watch are configured by your firm's administrator. The dedicated knowledge base channel is excluded from passive watch: in that channel every question is already routed to Knowledge Base directly.

Background Health Checks

Two background checks run on their own to keep the agent honest. One confirms that the firm's knowledge base is reachable and returning results; the other confirms that answers are still coming back grounded in real documents rather than turning up empty. If either check finds a problem, your operations lead is alerted and the agent's answers may be paused until the issue is resolved.

You do not see these checks; they run quietly. The reason to know they exist is so that if Knowledge Base ever appears to go silent for an extended period, you can assume something is being looked at.

What It Does Not Do on a Schedule

Knowledge Base does not post:

  • A daily or weekly digest of recent firm activity
  • Periodic summaries of new documents added to the knowledge base
  • Automatic reports on policy changes or regulatory updates
  • Reminders to check specific documents

If you want a periodic read on a topic, ask for it. The on-demand answer arrives in seconds and ends with the source citation, which is usually more useful than a scheduled summary.

A useful habit before an advisor call or an LP meeting: ask Knowledge Base for the relevant language from the most recent letter, the fund's current terms, or the firm's policy on whatever topic is likely to come up. One request, one cited answer, ready to reference.
